Description This 3300-acre high fenced ranch is southwest of Palestine is about two hours from downtown Dallas. The ranch has been under management for 5 years. Food plots, protein and letting the deer mature has produced some quality whitetails. The ranch is under a MLD program and there is a limited number of spots available annually; however, with special permits provided by Lake Leon Ranch, hunters can begin rifle hunting opening day of bow season and hunt through the last day of South Texas gun season. You can shoot does the entire season and you will not need your own deer tag. This is a beautiful property that is mostly wooded with open areas around the feeders and stands. Duck hunters load up for semi-guided or unguided hunts on this premier duck lake. This shallow ox bow lake has tons of lily pads, submerged vegetation and lots of smartweed that ducks love. Past reports indicate limits are common. Watch for gators. You may also shoot a hog with any hunt. Lodging is included for two day hunts. |
