Description
Nay Ranch Lake is a 20-acre lake located in the beautiful rolling hills of Southern Oklahoma on a 3000-acre ranch. The lake has ample structure and a fishable creek that winds through the valley. It has been stocked with bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish. The largest fish caught was 11 pounds. Bank fishing is good and small two-man bass boats can be launched off the bank. A 16ft, flat bottom, aluminum jon boat is also available for club use. A trolling motor and battery are available upon request. This is an excellent place to camp overnight right by the lake. Bald eagles are occasionally spotted here. You are welcome to fish the small tank northwest of the big lake. In Oklahoma, you must have a fishing license to fish private water. A license can be purchased at the Wal-mart in Durant (see map below).

The Nay Ranch is located 15 minutes away from the Blue River, which provides great trout fishing and hunting opportunities. “The Blue River is one of Oklahoma’s most beautiful and picturesque public recreation spots.” The Blue River Area provides 6.25 miles of stream and 3,333 acres of prime wildlife habitat. Almost 100,000 rainbow trout are stocked each season. The fish are stocked weekly unless poor conditions restrict it. The Blue River Association hosts two trout derbies each year, one on Veteran’s day (November) and the other on Presidents Day (February). The trout season runs from November 1st to March 31st but general fishing is allowed year round. The Blue River is definitely worth experiencing. Lodge at the Nay Ranch and fish the Blue River!
