Ennis: Island of Ennis (See Photo Below) |
Description The Island of Ennis Lake is a quaint six-acre lake on a small quiet ranch forty-five minutes south of Dallas. This lake (nine feet deep at its deepest) was built about four years ago and stocked with black bass, blue gill and channel catfish. A small stock tank which was incorporated into the new lake was a favorite fishing spot for many years. As the name implies, this lake has a small island in the middle with a ferry-type raft running to it. It has cover around the banks and good water clarity to ensure a pleasurable fishing experience. Small boats are allowed as well as float tubes but, it is also a great lake for bank fisherman. If you would like a nice half day of fishing close to Dallas, check out the Island of Ennis. |
